Christmas Update!

First off, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. :)

It has been a while since my last update, whoever is reading or if anybody is reading. It is an update for me.

I will now talk you or me through what I have been playing over the last couple of months, also how I am getting on in my new Trueachievement Goal, which I set up.

I thought about gamer score, what it all means, what is the point? What can I achieve?

It means nothing but 50.000 has always been in mind, that is exactly what I opted for as a gamer score goal.

Over the last month I have played quite a few games, I'll go through each of them and what I achieved and still gaining. (From most recent.)

Ghostbusters: The Video Game - I have had this from Love film for ages and I am still playing and loving it. At first, it took a while for me to get into it but as soon as I did, I was gripped, love it!.

Assassin's Creed II - This is obviously a must buy. I love what I have played so far...70 gs, only. I hope that I will get 1000. I looked at the list and I was pleasantly surprised at it.

Kane & Lynch: Dead Men - this one was a bargain, £4.97 at Gamestation, I’ve wanted it for ages but I couldn't resist at that price, 100 gs so far....an alright story as well.

Shadow Complex - This was one of the DLC specials, it's great and easily the best Arcade I have played. A bit to go, hopefully I will get the 200, if not I will enjoy what it has to offer.

Forza Motorsport 3 - This one was one that I bought with my new XBOX 360 Elite, I enjoyed Forza 2, so was pleased to play Forza 3.

Grand Theft Auto IV - TBoGT, is the second DLC I decided to buy since I got Microsoft Points for £7.00, bargain of the XBOX 360 years I have been with them, lmao.

Tinker (PC) - I decided to download a free game, considering I got a new Notebook, it plays well, but one hell of a game, not that it is hard, but it is jam packed with a massive amount of levels. I will have to try and finish it.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 - this was one of the most anticipated games of the year, I did not fail and I did, yes, I did go to the midnight launch at Asda. Got it and played the campaign, still yet to finish it on veteran, not because it is hard but because I want to enjoy every minute of it.

I still have two levels to complete on Veteran and then I will be done, for the campaign anyway, I will give Spec-ops a go some time and not forgetting multiplayer!

Borderlands - This is one of the better rentals! Not because of the easy achievements, it offers but simply because it's one of two genres I love, RPG with FPS. Awesome game with well over 1000 GS gained. Just waiting until the 29th to download the second DLC. I will keep it as a rental for now.

Sonic The Hedgehog 2 - Arcade, decided to go for it since it was a cheap game, it plays the same has a console version of years ago with better graphics and it is slowly working towards its 200. I hope so!

FIFA 10 - this one is a every year instalment and didn't disappoint. Well worth my hard earned cash. Still playing and 310 points, not bad since I don't play that often.

Batman: Arkham Asylum - I heard all sorts of good reviews, previews etc about Batman, so I decided to add it to my rental list, they sent it me and I enjoyed every moment in Batman world. 575 gs......I was pleased.

CSI: Deadly Intent - this one was just a tad bit better than Hard Evidence. I achieved 1000gs but I had this in mind when I got it as a rental.

The Chronicles of Riddick: Dark Athena - this was an amazing game in my opinion, I love a challenge and completed it and was gripped throughout.

410 gs, respectable in its own right.
Recap -
I will now give a short recap, what I have achieved.......over the past couple of months.

Score since my last goal was set - 39.032

Most recent Score - 44,437

5.405 is the gain in just over two months, for me that’s respectable. Just over 5.000 until I have achieved my goal. Bring it on! No, not the WWE Smackdown game.

GamerScore Goal

I decided a few weeks back that I would set up a Gamerscore Goal on TrueAchievements(which is a great site), I can keep track of my score, check out what gamers think of games, basically check everything gaming.

When I set up my gamerscore Goal I was at 37.887.

After setting the Goal. I decided to brush up on some of the other games I started or rented. I will now talk you through them.

Watchmen The End Is Nigh - Parts 1 and 2 -

I rented this game and to be honest glad I did. It's not because I didn't enjoy it, but the game got boring very quickly. After playing Part 1 and only gaining 60 achievement points out of 200, I'm happy to stop.

If I was to play through Part 1 again with a different character it would be a pain, for me I have to enjoy something that I play. Going through it a second time, would do my nut in. I found the button mashing and the same finishing moves too annoying. So I completed Part 1 and left it at that with only 60 points.

Part 2 was relatively the same as Part 1 in terms of button mashing and the same finishing moves over and over. I completed the main story with one character, gaining only 36 points. I could have got more points out of it but I had the game for like 2 weeks, only playing a couple of hours throughout and had enough.

CSI - "I actually enjoy CSI and watch it on TV, now and again."

When I saw it on my rental site I decided to give it a go. The achievements for it are very easy and after 5 chapters, I got all the gamerscore for it.

I can't really say much about it other than it's just like the TV show. Find evidence, process it and crack the case.

Alone In The Dark -

I did get 910 gamerscore back in April after borrowing it from a friend. I wanted to get the last few achievements for it which included burning all the roots of evil. I clocked it and got my 1000. I was well chuffed.

Dash of Destruction -

I just needed to get one more achievement for this to 200 it. Although I said I play for fun, this one was crap, but for a freebie I can't complain.

Harry Potter -

This game is still in my Xbox 360 as I post. I did complete the main story but I want to get all the crests. So the next few days will be spent doing that.

"It's a GOOD game in my opinion".

Fifa 10 -

This is one of the better games that I have played recently. I bought this and glad I did, its awesome. I've got Fifa every new release. It just seems to get better and better.

That's as many games I can remember playing or gaining achievements in.

The goal as stacked up a bit.

Start - 37.887

Currently  - 39.032

1145, that isn't anything special, I will agree. For me it is an achievement in it's own right!

"Check back some other time!"

Whats Happening

For the last few weeks I've been working on Wheelman, Half Life 2 and Fight Night Round 4 (which I don't like too much).

Wheelman -

I actually enjoyed the Wheelman demo so added it to my rentals list. I completed the main story. I didn't get all the achievements. But who cares?

"It did have it's bad bits but most of it was enjoyable."

I try to get as much fun(moneys worth) out of a game. This is exactly what I did after I completed the main story even though there was so much to do.

Then came Bully -

After sending in Wheelman I got Bully Scholarship Edition. I wanted to brush up on the gamerscore that I so easily gave up on last time around.

So for the next few days or maybe even week I will be playing:- Bully and Fight Night Round 4.

There are other games that will appear aswell. One of them will be Fifa 09, can't wait for Fifa 10, it's amazing and easily the best football sim out. (atm)

Games I'm Currently Working On

Well, I'm pretty much just playing with and gaining achievements in Fallout 3.

"I have recently got back into it."

Point Lookout -

I bought Point lookout DLC, completed the quests, got all the achievements for the DLC. "I ENJOYED IT!"

The Pitt and Operation Anchorage -

Ordered, 'The Pitt and Operation Anchorage', as a rental.

It's amazing how I have just put it in my rentals the same week that I got back into Fallout and bam! its on it's way to me, awesome!

Completed and enjoyed  it aswell.

Broken Steel or Mothership Zeta -

So, I thought what next? Broken Steel or Mothership Zeta? Broken Steel is what I opted for, considering I only had 800 ms points left. It was one or the other!

So that's what I will be working on now. I will also get Mothership Zeta sometime. Which will conclude all the DLC!

Keep checking Back!
